Manchester United finally won Liverpool one goal

In the Capital One Cup game Manchester United vs. Liverpool, Manchester United finally won one goal,Javier Hernandez scored with Rooney's corner kick. And Suarez, his first play this season is not satisfying.

Let's see the live of the key goal.

47 mins: Rodgers looks sick as a parrot on the touchline, his team are trailing having been on top and, as I said at half-time, in a game very low on chances

GOAL! Simple ball in from the left, Luis Enrique loses his man, and there's Hernandez with an acrobatic lepaing finish with the side of the foot. Great movement from Hernandez, came back from the line, and lost his marker. Man United 1 Liverpool 0 (Hernandez 46)

46 mins: United have an early corner.... and it's Rooney.

20.46 Eyes down for the second half, then.

HALF TIME Quite an encouraging half for Liverpool. Sturridge and Suarez did a lot of pretty good things that very nearly came off but then didn't quite at the last moment. United a bit flat. Rooney quiet, he had to come back a long way to get any of the ball. Kagawa looked short of confidence, as did one or two other of the fringe figures. I cannot say I remember either goalie having to make as save. We have had no racist incidents, no biting, no refusals to shake hands. Only a couple of bookings. It's all been quiet. Liverpool's 3-5-2 formation having the upper hand over United's 4-4-2.

David Moyes has admitted he might have to "take a few more blows" in his first season as Manchester United manager, warning there will be more difficult times to come as he tries to make the handover from Sir Alex Ferguson as seamless as possible.

Moyes, who missed out on several targets during the transfer window, said he was "shocked" by the 4-1 thrashing against Manchester City on Sunday, and indicated for the first time that the team he inherited from Ferguson had obvious deficiencies. The former Everton manager has previously talked about a side who are capable of winning the Premier League and Champions League, but now appears to have his own doubts about their quality. "I think a lot of people thought Manchester United [winning the title] last season, that it was probably the form of the other teams that was poor," he said.

Manchester City 4-1 Manchester United

Without Persie, Manchester United lost a perfect striker, and can't make threat to City. Even in second half,Rooney scored one, that's can't bring the United to be a strong lion.

Sir Alex Ferguson lost his first derby game away to Manchester City too, in September 1989, by a humiliating 5-1 scoreline that later prompted him to make a rare confession of vulnerability. He said that afterwards he went home to bed and felt, as he walked the streets of Manchester over the next few days, “like a criminal”.

Nasri was the player in the corresponding fixture last season who had faced accusations of cowardice after ducking out of the way of Robin van Persie's late, decisive free-kick. Now he could be seen shadow-boxing by the corner flag. City had outfought their opponents in every department, from A to Z, and the bruises will take a long time to heal for the team beaten to the point of humiliation.

Manuel Pellegrini's side won with such remarkable, carefree splendour it felt as though the team in United's colours had no actual plan or idea about what this fixture is supposed to signify.

David Moyes now knows how the pre-knighted Alex Ferguson felt on that day at Maine Road, almost a quarter of a century ago, when United's manager of the time talked about going home and lying on his bed with a pillow over his head. At the height of this ordeal, Moyes's name reverberated around the stadium. Unfortunately for him, it was the home crowd serenading his appointment as Ferguson's successor.

Marouane Fellaini joined Manchester United

In the last day of the transfer deadline, Manchester United signed Marouane Fellaini from Everton, a excellent midfielder. Marouane Fellaini says he "jumped at the chance" to work with David Moyes again after sealing his switch from Everton to Manchester United.

The 25-year-old midfielder had been linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer and was the subject of a failed £36million joint-bid with left-back Leighton Baines.

Having been given permission by Belgium to delay joining up with the national squad ahead of their World Cup qualifier with Scotland, Fellaini handed in a transfer request late on Monday in a bid to push through the move.

With Fellaini handing in an official transfer request at Everton's training ground early on Monday evening three hours before the window closed and United deciding to haggle over Herrera's €36m release clause despite the Spanish club making it clear they would not sell for less, the strategy adopted by Moyes and Woodward came down to a frantic effort to strengthen in the closing hours of the window.

Fellaini's transfer request means he will miss out on any bonus payments due from the deal, but his patience cracked late Monday afternoon, when he made clear he didn't want to play for the club any more.

That persuaded Everton to find a replacement, and they did that when Wigan chief Dave Whelan accepted an offer for McCarthy at 10.50pm, when he backed down and agreed to a £12m deal spread over four years.

Manchester United’s midfielder is weaker than other strong team in EPL, so Moyes is try to bring a stong midfielder this summer, now Fellaini joined, it will surely improve Manchester United’s strength.
